April 28

Dalbir Singh Suhag
Army General (Retd.) Dalbir Singh Suhag was appointed as High Commissioner of India to Republic of Seychelles. Dalbir Singh Suhag was Chief of ArmyStaff (CoA). Army General from August 2014 to December2016. His appointment comes at the time when military ties between India and island nation have deepened in recent times.

First woman Vice-Chancellor for Jamia Millia Islamia
Professor Najma Akhtar was appointed as the first woman Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia.

She has become the VC for a period of five years or until she attains the age of 70 years.
She is also the first lady vice chancellor of any central university in Delhi. Ms. Akhtar has four decades of academic experience and a seasoned academician.

Singareni CMD Mr. N. Sridhar received award as The Manager of the Year instituted by Achievements Forum, U.K.
This award is in recognition of his contributions made for progress of the company for the last 5 years.

The World Bank President is Chair of Boards of Directors of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and International Development Association.
The World Bank's executive board unanimously selected 63-year-old Malpass as the bank's 13th president.

Senior US Treasury official David Malpass has been selected as President of the WorldBank.

Amal Clooney is appointed as the U.K.’s special envoy on media freedom.
Amal Clooney, is international Human Rights lawyer, has been appointed as the U.K.’s special envoy on media freedom.
The appointment comes as the U.K. prepares to host an international conference this July in the wake of attacks on journalists across the world. 
Ms. Clooney will chair a panel of legal experts who will to repeal outdated and strengthen legal mechanisms to protect journalists.
The panel will also prepare mechanisms that could be used internationally like advising on sanctions regime that could be put in place relating to regimes that abused journalists.

Vipin Anand was appointed as the Managing Director of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), by the government in March
He was instrumental in setting up LIC's operations in Singapore and Bangladesh.
He served LIC for more than 35 years.
The Executive Board comprises of (Life Insurance Corporation) one chairman and four managing directors (MDs).
The government appointed MR Kumar as the Chairman of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) and T.C. Suseel Kumar as the managing director (MD)

April 2

Eicher Motors Ltd. has appoints Vinod K. Dasari as the Chief Executive Officer of Royal Enfield.
Vinod K. Dasari will also join the board of Eicher Motors as executive director.
On March 31, 2019, he stepped down as MD and CEO of Ashok Leyland.

April 1

Manu Sawhney takes charge as ICC Chief Executive
Former ESPN Star Sports MD, Manu Sawhney has formally joined International Cricket Council (ICC) as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
His appointment has been confirmed in January 2019 but he was working with outgoing CEO David Richardson for the last six weeks to make smooth change over.
David Richardson will continue in ICC until July 2019 to direct the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019.
