Culture Minister Prahlad Singh Patel launched the book - the Diary of Manu Gandhi at a function in New Delhi. The book has been brought out by National Archives of India, on the occasion of 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in collaboration with Oxford University Press. Manu Gandhi (Mridula) was a grand niece of Mahatma Gandhi, and stayed with Gandhiji till his assassination. She was an aide to Kasturba Gandhi during her imprisonment in the Aga Khan Palace in 1943. The first volume covers the period between 1943 and 1944. The Diary of Manu Gandhi originally in Gujarati has been edited and translated by Dr Tridip Suhrud, a well known scholar engaged in understanding the Gandhian Intellectual tradition.

Popular filmmaker Iqbal Chand Malhotra and defense analyst Maroof Raza have authored the book "Kashmir's Untold Story Declassified". It narrates the riveting story of the history of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), from the time of its political and geographic consolidation under Maharaja Gulab Singh to the present day. The book gives an amazing insights into the Government of India (GoI)'s policy towards the state, right from 1889, when it first imposed central rule and dispossessed the rule of the then Maharaja, till date.

Penguin Random House India have announced a book on the life of cinema legend Sridevi, on her 56th birth anniversary. Written by author-screenwriter Satyarth Nayak the book titled ‘Sridevi : Girl Woman Superstar’. According to Author, the book will explore deep into Sridevi's iconic work in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada cinema. The book will be published under the Ebury Press imprint of Penguin Random House in October 2019. Sridevi passed away at the age of 54 in February 2018 in Dubai.

The book “Tools and Weapons: The Promise and The Peril of the Digital Age" co-authored by Microsoft President Brad Smith & Carol Ann Browne, will be released on September 11. The book will provide a behind-the-curtain look at the multinational technology company and narrate some of the biggest stories that hit the tech industry in the past decade. These include privacy, cybercrime and cyber war, social media and so on.
