The Braille Edition of the book Exam Warriors authored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was released. The Braille Edition was prepared in Hindi and English in the Braille Press of Rajasthan Netraheen Kalyan Sangh.

India's first Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand released his autobiography titled ''Mind Master'' in Chennai. It was co-written by Susan Ninan. The book offers an insight into Anand's greatest wins and worst losses, his experience of facing the best minds in the world.

The Delhi government launched a booklet for students of class 6-8 in government schools on the life and teachings of Dr. BR Ambedkar. It explores the life and education of Ambedkar, his social reforms initiatives, contribution to women empowerment. The booklet was launched on Ambedkar’s 63rd death anniversary.

Tony Joseph, English author won 12th ‘Shakti Bhatt First Book Prize’ for his 2018 book, ‘Early Indians: The Story of Our Ancestors and Where We came’. Instituted in 2008, the award carries a cash prize of ₹2 lakh and a trophy. Last year, the prize was awarded to Sujatha Gidla for her Ants Among Elephants: An Untouchable Family And The Making Of Modern India.
