Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy launched ‘Bagaarutalli’ scheme in Hyderabad. This is a welfare scheme of girl child. This scheme supports the family of a girl child from her birth till her graduation

The government gave a legal status to the scheme to give girls their right and for the cash incentives given by the government Rs. 2,500 soon after her birth and Rs. 1 lakh after graduation at 21 years of age.

State Election Commissioner announced Panchayat elections schedule. Elections in 21,491 villages will be held in three phases.

A high school in Samiti singaram, Manuguru mandal, Khammam district set a record as a big government school in the state with 1520 students.
