Education in Germany
Among all countries offering free education Germany is the best destination for students as Germany is regarded as the land of ideas. The standard of higher education is top class. Germany offer students the opportunity to do internships, programs often includes interaction with industry. Many universities have close ties with companies like SAP, Siemens, DPWN, Daimler, BMW or Bosch which increases career prospects.
The German education system
German has many old established public and private universities that are known for world class education. These fall under the following categories State universities, state technical universities and state polytechnic universities. Mostly education is in German language however some universities offer education in English for international students. Mostly masters programs are available in engineering fields with very few options in doctoral programs as well. Specializations offered are limited.
Other than free education, paid education is also available for international students where the course options are relatively flexible. The quality of education is the same as free education.
Academic requirement – To apply for a bachelors program a 10=2 or equivalent is required, for a master’s program a bachelor’s degree is required. For free education, past academic record in the same field is highly desirable. Only students with strong academic profile can get admission into good universities. GRE score if available and good (though not compulsory) adds weight to the profile. Others may have to opt for paid education.

Language proficiency - All students seeking to study in Germany must be fluent in English. An IELTS, TOEFL or other English proficiency exams scores is required for admission and visa. If students are proficient in German and have cleared exams then it is an added advantage as they can also opt for courses which are partially taught in German.
