TAIWAN OFFERS FREE VISAS TO INDIANS
Considering the increase in the number of international travellers in India, Taiwan has enabled an online platform for Indian nationals to avail free visa.

To avail this facility the applicants’ passport should have a validity of at-least 6 months remaining; starting from the date of arrival in Taiwan. People having provisional, emergency, or informal passports are not eligible to submit online applications. The visa applicants have to book their to and fro tickets in advance. Anyone who was ever employed as a blue-collar worker in Taiwan cannot apply for visa online.
Also the visa applicant should have at least one of the mentioned documents, issued by the countries of Australia, Canada, Japan, Korea, and New Zealand, any of the Schengen countries, the UK, or the USA. The documents mentioned in the list are: valid resident or pr card, valid entry visa and resident card or visa having an expiry date within last 10 years from the date of arrival in Taiwan.
In-case any mistake is done while filling the form then the applicant should submit a fresh application. The applicant needs to take a printout of the ROC Travel Authorization Certificate after the visa is approved. The certificate needs to be submitted while entering Taiwan. The ROC Travel Authorization Certificate has a validity period of 3 months for multiple entries.
